There are many places
\nwhere a person can get lost
\nand not even realize it
\nuntil they are lost for good,
\nbut maybe you did find
\nhints along the way,
\nseeing things that weren\u2019t there,
\nthe occasional escalator
\ngoing up into a vagina,
\nand if so, it would have been
\nlike a Persian astronomer
\nfrom the 13th century
\ncame to you in your sleep
\nand showed you the blue-
\nblack smoke of stars,
\nand then, except for his dead voice,
\neverything would have burned
\nten thousand times darker.<\/p>\n
