Hannah Silverstein<\/h1>\n

Weather<\/span><\/h2>\n

Lately I\u2019ve been trying to solve a problem
\nwith my heart,<\/p>\n

how it clenches, sometimes,
\nas I walk up the street, how<\/p>\n

sometimes it flares with anger, and
\nthen the anger passes,<\/p>\n

a freak storm so quick,
\nwho would notice in this glare,<\/p>\n

if not for the excess
\ndraining down the gutter, to the<\/p>\n

subterranean channels that flush out
\ninto the Connecticut, where,<\/p>\n

in the muck and shallows
\nabove the hydroelectric dam, a minnow<\/p>\n

filters oxygen through tender gills,
\nunaware of the<\/p>\n

coil-necked shadow,
\nthe needle beak<\/p>\n

poised to strike.<\/p>\n
