Sometimes in winter,
\nthe light catches the water
\nto reveal ice-bloom,
\na strange lace
\nvery like the fungus
\nthat occasionally dapples
\nmy belly and sends me
\nreaching for cream,
\nfor no reason, really,
\nso gentle a guest is it
\nas we briefly share a skin.<\/p>\n
