Replicants<\/span><\/h2>\n

I\u2019m not sure when it happened
\nbut someone has replaced our son with a simulacrum,
\npossessing the same DNA and general knowledge
\nbut without the will to utter more than a syllable or two when pressed,
\nminus any interest in any of his previous obsessions
\nlike the flight routes of major airlines (international and domestic)
\nor the ruling amphibians of the Devonian Period
\nor anything, really, apart from soccer highlights on YouTube,
\nwho looks at the two of us as though we don\u2019t exist
\nand never really did, like Santa Claus or the Loch Ness Monster,
\nChristopher Columbus and John Lennon,
\nand what disturbs me most
\nis that he may be right.<\/p>\n
