Sabyasachi Nag
Postcards from Winter
The only red patch
in all this white is the crest
of the woodpecker
digging on the dead
branches of a birch, and that
Poinsettia –
from last Christmas,
now aching like a war widow.
What Ants Know
To know what ants know
we sit on a shiny patch
by the anthill, stand
the sun in the eye, bare feet,
feel the grass breathe.
